EVENTS COMMITTEE

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate all non-service related member events 

  • Maintain annual budget for non-service related member events

  • Take responsibility for notifying primary meeting location of change of venue for special events

  • Plan and organize the annual Folkmoot performance event in conjunction with Kiwanis

  • Plan the Spring Fling event including survey of members for location, menu and activity preferences, arranging for all space rental, catering, entertainment and programming

  • Plan the Holiday celebration including  location, catering, entertainment, activities 

  • Plan Altrusa After Hours events including location and assisting with food and RSVPs

  • Coordinate with Service and Membership committees if assistance is needed with events

 

Important:

  • Annual planning meeting for the committee to be scheduled
     

  • Ad hoc meetings as needed

 

  • Submit at least one programming idea to the Vice President

 

  • Oral committee report to be presented to membership at the Business Meeting each month
     

  • Submit monthly update to Newsletter Editor with committee activities and accomplishments
     

  • Budget to the board of directors by June 30
